What is your major and why did you choose it?
My major is Management with a concentration in Human Resources. I chose it because I love helping people and using my knowledge to help solve their issues so I knew Human Resources would be the perfect fit for me.
How would you describe the workload? Do students study at home during the weekends or go out and relax with their friends?
The workload differs depending on the classes you are taking and the major you are in. It also depends on if you are in midterms/finals season. During that time everyone is studying at the library or at home. Usually outside of those times students go out with their friends.
Typically, how big are your classes? Are they lecture-based or discussion-based?
Depending on what class it is the size ranges. For introductory classes the size is usually 50-250 students per class but as you continue on with your studies the class sizes gets smaller and more discussion based.
Personally, would you recommend morning or night classes?
I would recommend morning/afternoon classes. I’ve taken night classes after my internship ended and I usually feel very tired in those classes. After taking night classes I also get home late which leads to eating dinner late and going to sleep late. With morning/afternoon classes you have more free time to study during the rest of the afternoon and evening.
Since you have graduated from Baruch College, do you believe the education you received is beneficial for your future? Was the cost of tuition worth it?
Yes! The education that I received is extremely beneficial to my future. This education has contributed to me having a full time job offer right after graduation. The cost of tuition is worth it, especially if you have financial aid!
