For MIT, I interviewed a person who prefers to stay anonymous. Their answer was really helpful as I want to major in Computer Science and was always told MIT was the perfect college for me to apply. Thank you for your responses!

What makeS MIT so special to you? Was it your first choice and your dream school?

"I think MIT is special because of the people. There’s a community for every kind of person. MIT wasn’t my first choice until I actually visited campus on a recruit trip, but after I met the team and felt the vibe of the school it felt like home. It’s not a cutthroat school, collaboration is very important, and most everyone is super friendly and helpful."

How would you describe the workload? Do students study at home during the weekends or go out and relax with their friends?

"The workload is intense but definitely manageable. There are so many resources to take advantage of (office hours, older students, classmates) that make it do-able. There’s time to join clubs/sports and also time to just hang out with friends. If you want to go out to parties on weekends (even during the week) there’s always something going on."

What inspired you to work hard to strive to get into MIT?

The prestige of the school and knowing that it could open up a lot of opportunities for my future career.
