For Georgetown, I got to interview Elijah! By reading his responses, you can tell how much he loves Georgetown and how amazing his answers are because "Georgetown kids go above and beyond." Thank you so much Elijah for helping so many high school students out!

How would you describe the weather at Georgetown? Does it frequently snow? What would advise students to bring when coming to Georgetown?

"The biggest weather problem I’ve experienced is the wind. A lot of places on campus act like wind tunnels and I’ve gotten pushed around by some strong gusts. This year it was pretty warm even on the middle of winter—we didn’t even get more than an inch of snow and it doesn’t look like we’ll get more than that. Depending on your tolerance, medium to light jackets, rain boots, umbrellas are probably fine."

What makes Georgetown? So special to you? Was it your first choice and your dream school?

"GU was definitely my dream school, coming here, the community was what made campus special. It really feels like everyone loves living here and everyone is incredibly welcoming."

How would you describe the environment at Georgetown?

"Like I mentioned previously, the environment (for the most part) is incredibly welcoming, and caring. The administration can at times be lacking and sometimes it does feel like the only people who really care are the people that you surround yourself with. There are definitely others who wouldn’t say the same but that comes from the diversity of experience GU has."

Personally, would you recommend morning or night classes?

"I recommend morning classes because I’m a morning person and I like to have my afternoons and nights now relaxing and friend-time. Bur that’s my own preference."

What kind of classes would you highly recommend students to take in high school before going off to college?

" Taking classes based in discussion in HS can prepare you for the seminars you can take in college. Other than that, taking classes to peak subject interests so you know what you want to learn more about can help in your course selection."
