Personally, would you recommend morning or night classes?
For the University of Utah, I had the pleasure to interview Kayla, who provided some great tips and advice on the college life! I highly recommend you check out her responses! Thank you so much Kayla! - Dayanna
"morning for sure!"
what is your major and why did you choose this major?
"my major is health, society & policies and i chose it because i was looking for something involving health & politics and the courses for it coordinate with courses needed for medical school :)"
Are your professors good teachers?
for my first semester i’d say about 2/5 we’re actually good teachers. my second semester 3/4 were good. it’s hard finding professors that actually like teaching freshmen so my upper class teachers were 100% better."
How satisfied are you with academic advising?
"2/10 they didn’t help me with anything when it came to finding a major, picking classes, etc. you have to figure it out yourself."
Were you awarded financial aid? If yes, how would you rate the financial aid package given? Was it able to remove some financial pressure?
"i was given financial aid, but only because i wrote an appeal to receive it because one of my parents was in an accident. fafsa isn’t an easy process and if you need to retake a class they won’t cover it and they don’t cover summer classes. i still had to take out a whole bunch of loans so it didn’t relieve much financial pressure."
